SCRIPTURES FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

There is no doubt many believers desire to be back in their spaces and houses of worship. People are feeling three different levels of anticipation when it comes to regathering together. The first level is the "let’s-go" group. They are willing and ready to get back into a crowd right away. The second level is the "let’s-go-slow" group. They desire to understand better the precautions being taken and are very cautious about coming back. Lastly, you have the "no-go" group. They are not saying no to church or to Jesus. They just aren't ready to come back. They still support your church, but they are looking for more progress on the virus. Regardless of the level you are at, you can trust Jesus through this. Meditating on these verses can bring peace to your heart. They are great reminders as we navigate a season of the unknown.
JESUS MAKES ALL THINGS NEW: “And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5
Thought: God wants to put a new passion in our hearts, even though we are content with where we are.
JESUS IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
Thought: God is still faithful in all seasons, even when we do not understand.
JESUS IS OUR FUTURE: “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah. 43:18-19
Thought: Jesus is still working, even when we can not see clearly through our situations.
JESUS CHANGES LIVES: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Thought: Jesus is still saving people, even though we are not aware.
JESUS FORGIVES SINS: “Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19
Thought: God wants to refresh us, even though we think we are fine.
JESUS IS OUR ETERNITY: “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead.” Philippians 3:13
Thought: God wants His church to realign with His agenda, even though we desire our agenda.
JESUS IS IN CONTROL: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
Thought: God is working, even if that means our life is disrupted.
JESUS IS OUR STRENGTH: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Thought: God wants us to depend on him, even when we are independent.
JESUS IS OUR UNITY: "I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them..." Ezekiel 11:19
Thought: God’s Spirit desires to work in us to bring unity, even though we are experiencing the opposite.
JESUS IS OUR TRUST: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs. 3:5-6
Thought: God wants us to trust Him even when we put trust in other things.
